                                                           TRINITY   BIBLE   CLUB.

Topic: Jesus Loves Little Children.

Text:  Mark 10:13-16. (Youth Lesson 14).

Memory Verse: Matthew 18:10. “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven”.

Introduction. When Adults are busy working or discussing, it is common to see adults not wanting children around or not wanting to hear noise from children so that they(Adults) can concentrate on what they(Adults) are doing or discussing. That was why when some mothers brought Children for Jesus to pray and bless the children, the disciples who were all Adults told the mothers to stop bringing their children to Jesus for prayers and blessings. But Jesus was angry with his disciples for doing that.

Jesus told his disciples that unless they changed their attitudes and become as little children, they (Adult Disciples) will not enter heaven. Jesus then  took the children in his  arms, prayed for them blessed them and handed them over to their mothers.

Lessons to Learn from the Above Story or Passages.

  1. Jesus Loves Little Children. Mark 10:14 “When Jesus saw this, he was indignant/angry. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these”.
  2. Jesus is Never too busy to pay attention to Children. That’s why you must never fail to talk to him by your bedside everyday in prayers.
  3. Every child has a Guardian Angel. The Guardian Angels of Children stand in the presence of God Almighty, day and Night Matthew 18: 10: “ “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven”.
  4. Even if Adults, your Father and Mother reject you, God will not reject you. That’s why David said in Psalm 27:10; “Even Though my father and mother forsake me,  the Lord will receive me”. And that’s why Jesus was Angry with his disciples when they tried to stop the children from coming to Jesus.
  5. Jesus wants Adults to learn Humility from Children . That’s why Jesus said in Matthew 18:3-4: “And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.  Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven”.
